Rose-Fitt House was built in 1897 using locally quarried carrstone. In its early years as a guest house and nursing home, it was known as ‘Boston View’, and was given its present name in the late 80‘s, a ‘Mr Rose’ and ‘Mr Fitt’, being prominent names, on the first lease of the property.
In 2003, Andrea and Phil purchased an extremely neglected Victorian house, and after a year of hard work and TLC, ‘Rose-Fitt House Bed and Breakfast’ opened its doors with just 2 guest rooms. Today, after a lot more hard work, the house has 5 lovely guest rooms, consisting of a twin room on the ground floor, a king size, and double room on the first floor, all having lovely sea views. We also have 2 family rooms,on the first and second floor, each having connecting rooms for the children. All the rooms have en-suite shower facilities, TV/DVD, hot drinks tray, hairdryer, alarm clock and other handy items.
The house is situated in a quiet residential area overlooking Lincoln Square Green, where you can sit on a warm evening and watch the sun set into the sea, Hunstanton being the only town on the east coast that actually faces west ! We are a few minutes walk from the town centre where you will find an array of shops, cafe's, theatre, ten pin bowling, sea life centre and amusements. Directly in-front of the house and only a few hundred yards away are the famous red striped cliffs with access down to our lovely safe, sandy beaches. We welcome well behaved, school age children, but we are sorry we cannot accommodate pets, as we have 2 dogs of our own. Smoking is not permitted in any part of the house.
A full English and or Continental breakfast is served in our lovely, sea view, dining-room, between 7.45 - 9.00am but may be earlier by arrangement. A £20 per room per night, non-refundable deposit is required, to secure a reservation. The balance payable on arrival either by cash, cheque (guarantee card required) or credit / debit card.
